Il Canada, che alla Premier12 sarà nel Gruppo C (al Gocheok Sky Dome di Seoul, in Corea del Sud, assieme a Cuba Corea e Australia) ha tolto il velo al suo roster.
Il Most Valuable Player 2006 Justin Morneau e l’All-Star 2016 della American League Michael Saunders sono fra gli 11 giocatori scelti con esperienza di Major League Baseball, come Phillippe Aumont, Chris Leroux, Adam Loewen, Scott Mathieson, Dustin Molleken, Dalton Pompey, Scott Richmond, Rene Tosoni e Rob Zastryzny.
La lista comprende 14 giocatori (Aumont, Wes Darvill, Dustin Houle, Jordan Lennerton, Leroux, Jonathan Malo, Will McAffer, Molleken, Connor Panas, Tristan Pompey, Richmond, Evan Rutckyj, Tosoni e Eric Wood) che hanno fatto parte della squadra che ha conquistato la medaglia d’argento ai Pan Am Games di Lima, dell’agosto scorso. Ventisei giocatori hanno già rappresentato il Canada in precedenti competizioni internazionali, mentre Brandon Marklund e Zastryzny saranno i due debuttanti.
